Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatu Dear Brothers &
Sisters in Islam
Some of you may know me from my digital scrapbooking blog (http://ZabraScrap.blogspot.com) or from my Inspirez emails (http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/inspirez/) or from facebook (Zabra Scrap)... Today I welcome you to my new Inspirez blog and invite you to become a follower and encourage your family & friends to do the same :) This blog has been "in the pipeline" for a while now... And seeing as we recently welcomed in the new year, 1432... I thought it was a good time to get it off the starting blocks :)
Let me begin by asking Allah (SWA) to guide me in this endeavour and wish you Muharram Mubarak ....
A little bit about how my Inspirez emails (now on Yahoo) came about... After my resignation, being able to go to Jumuah with my family was such a treat, and when I couldn't join them I'd listen to the Jumuah Ghutbahs on the radio and found them sooo inspiring that I would pop little emails to my bestest buddies, to share the "grains of wisdom" that had touched my heart...
I have always loved the beauty of Islam, felt awed by our Creator, the Most Gracious, Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful... and marveled at how easy Allah (SWA) makes this Deen (religion) for us, Alhamdulillaah :) I felt like I (and other Muslm women in the office) had suffered a great loss being at work and missing out on all these beautiful spiritual gems delivered in the Jumuah ghutbahs through the years. I soo much wanted to share this new gift I was now thoroughly enjoying, with those I loved .... And this I did through writing little emails every Friday . . . As time passed I added more friends and family to my email list and so my group grew to the point where I was spending much of my Fridays sending emails. To make it easier for me (and free some more of my time), I created a Yahoo group called Inspirez, (http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/inspirez/), where the mailings could be automated.
My emails had for a long time already included quotes from the Quran or hadith, and as time passed I started toying with the idea of scrapping them into cards that could be shared with others, the way I do my layouts... With the hope that more people would share them and be touched by Allah (SWA) and His beloved Rasool (SAW)'s words. . . It's wonderful being able to include my passions & gifts - writing & scrapping - to do something I consider "spiritually" useful :)
I have a facebook account for Zabra Scrap where I post my scrapbook layouts, and in there is a my Inspirez group where I started sharing my cards too. I would also occasionally post it on my scrapbook blog http://ZabraScrap.blogspot.com . . . But this got messy/confusing, which brings me to where I am now . . . Trying to tidy things up a bit by keeping all my Islamic cards/layouts in one easy to access location. . . Hopefully making it asier for you & me :)
I hope you will join me on this journey and pop by regularly to see and share my cards. . . If you haven't yet signed up for my weekly emails, simply send an email to inspirez-subscribe@yahoogroups.co.uk to subscribe - And if you're on facebook, don't forget to invite me by sending Zabra Scrap a friend request on facebook, then send me a message or write on my wall to let me know you'd like to be included in the Inspirez group there.
I look forward to sharing my cards with you!!
Wishing you, your family, friends and loved ones
a Jumuah Mubarak!!
Fi amaanillah - I leave you in the protection of Allah (S.W.A.)
Wasalaamu Alaykum Wa Raghmatullaahi Wa Barakaatu
