Please Assist: Tauhirah's Cochlear Appeal

Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatu Everyone

Some of my best friends really needs your help and prayers/duas. Their little girl Tauhirah has been given the opportunity of a cochlear transplant and the chance to hear, and learn to talk and communicate… things we take for granted everyday… The problem is we need to raise the funds before the end of December or the price goes up by 17%.

Any assistance you can give (sharing this image, the original pdf https://www.dropbox.com/s/3vxymy07cb7d4…/20151025Appeal.p...df… and praying/making dua for her, will mean more to me (and her parents) than you will ever know.

Thank you / JazaakAllah Geyr

With my best duas always

Jumuah Mubarak ... back to school, & dua card scrapped

Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatu

As the little ones embark on a new year of study, new friends, exciting learnings and growth, I make dua that Allah guides us to be good role models to them, to help them along the way and keep them always motivated to seek knowledge and conscious of the great blessings that education is. May it indeed open many doors of goodness to them.

May Allah help them to make full use of these opportunities, ease their lessons and learnings, and help them to grow with Eeman and Taqwa, and all the beautiful values of Islam guiding them always. Ameen

Below is a dua I scrapped. . .

And this is the kit I used... Soft Breezes by Bettieescrap et Pliscrap

Till next time

Jumuah Mubarakah to you, your family, friends and loved ones

RIP Tata Madiba (former South African President, Nelson R Mandela)

Hello Everyone

Tonight I'd like to share with you a layout I did in honour of our former President, Nelson R. Mandela . . . I wanted this layout to be truly special to honour the great man who brought freedom to my beautiful country, South Africa . . .

I knew exactly what I wanted my layout to look like, for a few days before I'd seen the layout for the scraplift challenge at www.Digidesignresort.com and knew that it would be perfect for what I intended.

Please, humour me a few moments as I detail some of my thinking and symbolism behind my layout.

To me the contrast of black to red symbolised the shift from the darkness of apartheid to the new South Africa full of promise... the touches of red and green, to me, symbolise the love and peace and relationships that have been rebuilt with thanks to him. The butterfly for hope and the transformation we've undergone in becoming one nation once more. The key, a reminder that we have in our hands the key to a better tomorrow. The clock and gadgets, for his (Tata Madiba's) time with us, and his service in getting the government and other mechanisms of SA working once more. The touches of white, for his purity of heart and intention, that guided us through a very difficult time. The large light feather "angel wings" for his passing...

I pray that indeed we will not just remember this great man by name and a recital of the good he's done, but instead, that we will strive for generations to come, to implement all that we have learnt from him, and take up his challenge of giving back and uplifting South Africa to the greatness she deserves, improving the condition of those who are challenged and exceed even his greatest dreams of peace, love and brotherhood...

With the passing of time, may future generations continue to be passionate and motivated to serve and uplift, never losing the lessons, only the heartache and prejudices and may their future always shine with hope and promise...

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. May God grant them comfort in this trying time.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatu Dear Brothers & Sisters in Islam

It’s been a long time since my last email, but I trust you and your family have been well, with the kudrat of Allah (SWA).  I pray that whatever you have embarked on over the past months has proven successful and gratifying and that Ramadaan has brought your focus on spirituality and nearness to Allah (SWA) to fruition. . .

While I have missed both emailing you and receiving your emails, I am also enjoying my new studies.  However, I could not let the great day of Eid-ul Fitr pass without wishing you all the blessings of both Eid and Jumuah …

Jumuah Mubarak - Nabi Muhammad (SAW) - The best of role models

Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatu Dear Brothers & Sisters in Islam

It’s been a long time since my last email, but I trust you and your family have been well, with the kudrat of Allah (SWA) . . . We are already in month of Rabbi-al Awwal, and as we lovingly remember the birth of our Beloved Nabi Muhammad (SAW) during this month, we also increase our salawaat (salutations) upon him.

Allah (SWA) sent us Nabi Muhammad (SAW), the best of mankind, to guide us with his example... It should thus be a goal for each of us, to read up and get to know this great leader, and all that his life encompasses and teaches.  His example was one of piety, steadfastness, humility, kindness, love, generosity, forgiveness and compassion… By learning about all of these traits & aspects of his life, Insha-Allah, Allah (SWA) will increase our love for him and truly make him (SAW) our (and our family’s) role model - in all aspects of our lives. May Allah (SWA) help us to strive, and succeed, in emulating Nabi Muhammad (SAW) and implement his sunnah into our lives, Insha-Allah, Ameen.

Alhamdulillaah, all Praise to Allah (SWA) who not only sent us the Glorious Qur'an, but has blessed us with such a beautiful and perfect example, to lead us in living our daily lives the best possible way, the Islamic way!!!

Wishing you, your family, friends and loved ones a Jumuah full of blessings, love success and happiness. . . Jumuah Mubarak!!
